how 10 minutes of art with my daughter helped me reconnect to gratitude + flow

There’s something sacred about the messiest of brushstrokes...no pressure to perform. No expectations. Just a deep presence.

The canvas is a mirror for life…in this case, messy, chaotic, imperfect. And yet, there is a deep sense of stillness in the eye of the storm.

And gratitude is a huge key in shifting perspective - my family has a daily practice of gratitude. Whether it’s at the table, before lights out🌙, or setting intentions at the canvas or in our journals. We even have a cute little gratitude jar that I’ll share for another time.

This is my sanctuary in motion (along with my sidekick 🥰). I don’t always get long stretches of time to paint or reflect. Most days it’s 10 minutes between snacks and snuggles, before rushing off to the next thing. And it’s not always on a big ol’ colorful canvas… it might be a quick, fun little doodle on a scrap piece of paper.

I’ve learned that even one small, intentional creative ritual can shift my entire energy and remembering who I am.

A mama. A maker. A manifestor.

When I create from a place of gratitude, abundance flows so much more effortlessly. Not just in my biz, but in my body and in my home and how I show up ✨ENERGETICALLY✨ for my family and community.

So here’s to the grateful brushstrokes, sacred mess, and the soft moments.

✨ What’s ONE moment today you’re grateful for? Drop it below (or better yet, paint or doodle it and tag me - I’d love to see!)

With love + paint smudges…
xo-dez ✨💖✨
