Creative Rituals TV: Happy Lunar New Year!

Hello Creative Soul,

How are you settling into 2020? The Lunar New Year is upon us...if you're feeling left behind with all the planning and doing and everything that has to do with New Year traditions, I'm hear to let you know, you're not alone, and you have a second chance to welcome 2020.

Earlier this week, I popped in from behind the scenes while I prepped for the Lunar New Year and talked about two of my favorite beginning-of-the-year Creative Rituals: Decluttering our home and planning for the year ahead (and if you haven’t made your Vision Board yet, I’ve got you covered).

This year we’re celebrating the Year of the Rat and you could learn more about this clever creature and how to celebrate the upcoming festivities here.

We celebrated the Lunar New Year with my daughter’s preschool homeschooling group this week, and we loved teaching her friends about the dragon/lion dance, lucky red envelopes and we made the cutest little noise makers to scare the bad spirits away…much like Bali’s Nyepi New Year, with the exception of the whole island having to observe silence (Nyepi, meaning Day of Silence) the day of the New Year…quiet as a mouse (ha!) so that that the bad spirits don’t hear you!
