how to create a new book cover for your altered art journal
Hiya, peeps! The surf is firing, but the crowds are crazy...I'm gonna keep this quick. I finally had a chance to play with some beautiful Japanese fabric that I found at SuperBuzzy! SuperBuzzy is a fabric store in the heart of Ventura, and they carry products from Japan. They have theeeee cutest patterns, Japanese material and a few little novelty items, too. I highly recommend a visit to their shop (and, you can buy their goodies online, as well).
If you know me, I am not much of a seamstress (although, I know a very talented few, including one of my BFF's, KC Rabbit - girl, you got skillz!) But, growing up in Hawaii, I've learned to love everything Japanese...so, I had to find an excuse to buy this lovely fabric and DO something with it.
If you remember my last video, I had found an old used children's book. I found a really cool book about ocean life, and I thought, how perfect! I am in the process of altering it to use as an art journal for the Purpose Project. Here is how I refurbished the book cover...Hope you enjoy!! xxoo
