creative self-care for moms: how art journaling can help you reconnect with yourself

If you’ve been pouring into everything else and everyone else…
here’s your reminder to

P A U S E

Just a few quiet moments and a little space to breathe and create
(I needed this reminder too… finally coming up for air over here 😅🧘🏻‍♀️🎨✨)

I’ve been super busy IRL… deep in the behind-the-scenes magic, juggling homeschool life, all of it…
def in the thick of it right now. I didn’t even realize how much I needed to slow down until I actually did.

I finally sat down with my art journal, and it was like my whole body exhaled.

You know that feeling?

Where you’re like, “ohhh… there I am”.

Motherhood has this way of stretching you in all directions, and somewhere in between taking care of everyone else, it’s so easy to drift a little from yourself.

Your creativity, your thoughts, your energy.

And for me, creating is what brings me back.

And (usually) not in a big, elaborate way, but with just a few messy brush strokes, a little color on the page, a moment to just be.

That’s it.

So if you’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed or disconnected, this is your reminder (from me to you, but also me to me)

You don’t need a whole day, nor do you need the perfect setup.

Just a few minutes, a little intention, and permission to take that space.

Even if it’s imperfect (or interrupted LOL).

It still counts.

Okay… accountability time, what does self-care look like for you today?

I’d love to support and cheer you on!
