The sunsets here along the coast have been breathtakingly vivid, but they carry the weight of the wildfires impacting our region. Emotions have been heavy, and if you’re feeling it too, know you’re not alone.

I’ve been taking a break from the constant scroll of updates and spending some time with my watercolors. Art journaling has been a gentle way for me to process the heaviness and find a bit of calm amongst the chaos. I’ve also been turning to dance to shake the heaviness off. Throughout my lifetime, art and movement have been powerful ways for me to connect with my emotions and find a sense of peace.

If the constant stream of news feels overwhelming, I encourage you to pause. Whether it’s through painting, dancing, journaling, or simply stepping outside for fresh air, give yourself permission to feel and let go.
