have you created this for the new year yet?
I don’t know about you, but I’m still adjusting to 2024 and can’t believe we’re already into the second week of the year. We worked on our family vision board last week (there are some final elements I’d still like to add), and if you haven’t had a chance to create one for yourself, now is the perfect time!!
The Lunar New Year is almost here, and it’s all about new beginnings. We are celebrating the Year of the Dragon this year. In China, this powerful, mythical creature is known for controlling weather and water, like the wind and hurricanes, rain, rivers, lakes, and seas, bringing prosperity, and abundance to all. It is the most honored creature of the Chinese Zodiac, and you can find the Dragon incorporated into daily life as a sacred symbol throughout China in shrines, temples, homes, on dishes, clothes, jewelry, etc…I vividly remember my grandmother wearing her intricately-carved jade dragon necklace daily for strength and good luck. The Dragon dance is the center of Lunar New Year celebrations, chasing away evil spirits and welcoming prosperous times.
So, if you feel like you’ve missed out on any meaningful celebrations on NYE, or maybe 2024 came too quickly, this is your invitation to sit with beautiful new intentions and dream it up for your future self. Vision boards are simple to make, and if you’ve never made one before or need a little extra love and guidance, be sure to take a peek at my Vision Board Dreams online workshop.
