weekly photo challenge: HOME

yes, i know, this obviously isn't a picture of my house or where i live (good ol' county of ventucky, california, of course). but anyone who has at one time or another lived in hawaii will most likely agree with me when i say that certain fragrances brings back bittersweet memories of 'home'. the overwhelming scent is inhaled with a feeling of homesickness that you just can't fight. whether it be plumeria, gardenia, ginger, or pikake...my heart just melts. it melts into a little million pieces as i close my eyes and yearn for the day that i'll return home...ku'u home o kahalu'u
