LET'S TALK ABOUT DREAMS & DESIRES

dream:

(verb)

1. contemplate the possibility of doing something or that something might be the case.

(noun)

2. a succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep.

3. a vision voluntarily indulged in while awake; daydream.

de·sire:

(verb)

1. to wish or long for; crave; want.

(noun)

2. a longing or craving, as for something that brings satisfaction or enjoyment.

ASK YOURSELF: "ARE THE ACTIONS I'M TAKING AT THIS MOMENT DRIVING ME TO THE PATH THAT LEADS TO MY DREAMS AND DESIRES?"

We all strive to create positive changes in our lives, yeah? First, in order to create change, we need to want something and then, we need to take that desire and actually say YES to it.

What does that mean, exactly?

It means having the courage to say YES to your desires and aligning yourself (your thoughts, beliefs, behavior, and actions) with those desires or desired outcome(s). Creating change sometimes means stepping out of your comfort zone, but if you have the vision, support and accountability to make those changes, then you'll be good to go!

One of my favorite things to do to spark inspiration and to envision my desires is creating VISION BOARDS. I'm a total sucker for these things, because they've helped me envision, with visuals, the things that I desire in my life. The simple act of placing these visuals and setting intentions for your desires and goals really can help bring your dreams to life!

I've done vision board exercises that have had to do with anything and everything with health, money, relationships, and career, and they have been a significant source of personal and spiritual growth. In fact, I probably wouldn't be here blogging with you wonderful folks, if it weren't for creating a vision board that I created during one of the most challenging times in my life --- the 2009 great recession. Yep. {rolling eyes, shaking head}.

LONG STORY SHORT:

The small landscape business I own with my husband was directly tied to the housing market, and we basically hit rock-bottom and eventually had to walk away from the home we poured our hearts into. I felt helpless.

As difficult as that period was, I knew I couldn't just sit there and feel sorry for myself. Every bad thing that happened, wasn't 'supposed' to happen. We were good, honest, hard-working people, and I knew that there was a better way to get out of the mess. Let's just say that I took what had happened to us and looked at it as a blessing in disguise.

I decided to create a little vision board, so that my husband and I could look toward a better future that would better serve our core desires and values. I asked myself, "What do I really, truly desire to have in my life? What small actions can I take to achieve those things I desire?"

Now, this little vision board I had was nothing fancy. In fact, all of my art supplies were thrown in boxes (because of the foreclosure - yuck!). So, all I used was a couple of blank sheets from the printer, taped together with masking tape. I know, classy. Desperate times called for desperate measures, my friends!

I gathered images of what I wanted to see in my life: positive, beautiful, breath-taking images of how I wanted to feel and all the wonderful things I wanted to experience. These images helped me envision a better future. And that's what enabled me to believe that I deserved the richest experience that life could offer - not so much in a material sense, but in an experiential way that brought the biggest life lessons I've ever had to learn into my existence. It was a different way of falling in love with life.

AN INVITATION

I'm SO very passionate about this, that I'd like to share the love and invite you to a 'Vision Board Dreams' workshop and guide you through the creative process of manifesting your dreams into reality!! (I promise that this time around, we won't use masking tape).

Full disclosure: This has nothing to do with fortune-telling --- do you remember Professor Marvel, the fortune-teller, turned-OZ, in the "Wizard of Oz"? This process has everything to do with tapping into your intuition and core values and beliefs to make your biggest (or even littlest) dreams come to life.

To kick off the festivities, I have a wonderful group of guests sharing their experiences with the manifestation process. They'll share their secrets to manifesting and creating an abundant life in health, money, relationships, career and more!

I'D LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN IN THE FUN! WHAT DESIRES AND DREAMS DO YOU HAVE IN STORE FOR the year to come? PLEASE SHARE THEM IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.
