guess what? i'm celebrating my 2nd year blogging anniversary, and you're invited!

Hello dear readers, followers, family and friends! With all of the wet, chilly weather we have been having, I can feel winter in the air...isn't great? There's nothing better than bundling up in cozy pajamas and sipping on a hot cup of cocoa and eating fresh, baked cookies...bring on the sweets, baby. Actually, I was never a big sweet tooth type of person, until I met my husband...bad, bad, BAD. Anyhow, I am still deep in acrylics with my painting marathon...in the middle of mile #23...??? I've lost track. So, I will take some snapshots and share them with you, hopefully by Thanksgiving weekend.

One thing I've learned during my coaching certification, is how the number of coincidences and opportunities have opened up for me, just by changing how I think. Now, I know this is going to sound crazy, but I have been learning a lot about right-brain/left-brain stuff, and ever since I started opening my mind through creative exercises, amazing things have started happening.

No Joke.

My mentor, Whitney Ferre warned me about this...creating change in your life. Through art. How wonderful is that? I kinda knew about it, and as an artist, had a 'hunch', but WOW.

I see things differently now --- not that I wasn't an optimist to start with --- but I have been more keen to my intuition, and better able to listen to my inner voice. If I see a challenge or come across a difficult situation, I feel like I can deal with that said situation better, all because of my state of mind.

Instead of dwelling on the little details, I can look at the bigger picture and come up with solutions that will help me move forward. Instead of fear, I feel courage. Instead of hanging on, I can let go. Instead of stagnation, I feel flow.

It's been amazing.

And with this flow, comes abundance...connections with other influential people, positive thinkers, and enticing opportunities --- favorable circumstances that might have passed, had my eyes been wide shut.

So, during the week, I got a phone call from a dear old friend (and amazingly talented artist), Chris Charney. He had asked if I wanted to take part in a collaborative art show with him and other local artists...do you even know how excited I was? Totally unexpected, totally out of the blue, but totally grateful and appreciative. I can't wait.

And what a perfect opportunity to let more people know about my new creative coaching gig.

And...AND, December 1st just happens to land on the 2nd Anniversary since starting this crazy blog of mine...of sharing my creative journey with the world. Of putting myself out there, regardless of how others might view me. (Just for fun, here's my first ever post: December 1, 2010: Hello World! )

My, oh my...I was wondering how I would celebrate that milestone.

With other creatives, of course. And YOU.

So, if you can, please come and join us on December 1st. I'd love to see you. I plan on bringing my art supplies, so that you can play, too. And I am sure that my fellow local artisan friends would love it if you come and support the arts. Christmas is right around the corner, and what better way to support local artists (and meet them in person).

Hope to see you there, and thanks for your support over the last two years during my creative blogging journey.

12-21-12 is right around the corner, and I feel very good things coming!

Cheers!

P.S. AS YOU KNOW, I AM DEVELOPING NEW CREATIVE CLASSES AND MINI-WORKSHOPS/RETREATS FOR 2013, AND I WOULD LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK. PLEASE FILL OUT THIS QUICK SURVEY AND LET ME KNOW WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND. WHAT KINDS OF THINGS ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LEARNING?

THANK YOU, FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
