GIVING BACK

If you know me well, you know how much of a soft spot I have in my heart for global humanitarian and environmental efforts. In honor of giving back, 10% of proceeds from Desiree East Studios will go toward non-profit organizations that are doing good in this world.

It’s a win-win for all of us. Just think, with every creative endeavor that we explore together, our soulful, artistic energy will further enhance the lives of others in meaningful ways. Thank you for being part of this healing, heart-centered, creative energy of life!!

Here are some organizations that we (and, yes, YOU!) are contributing to:

Waves for water offers clean water solutions to humanitarian projects, such as disaster relief efforts following the Nepal Quake and Typhoon Haiyan in the Phillippines, as well as, on-going humanitarian work in Africa, Haiti, Indonesia, Bali, Columbia, Samoa, Chile, and in our very own backyard in the United States, after Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast. Wildlife Conservation Network: Save the Elephants

Africa's elephants could disappear from much of the wild within a generation. A devastating poaching epidemic is threatening these iconic creatures. Driving the killing is a complex, international ivory trade that thrives on poverty, corruption, and greed. Scientists, front-line conservation organizations, and governments have united behind a common strategy to stop the killing, the trafficking, and the demand for ivory. The Elephant Crisis Fund, an initiative launched by Save The Elephants and the Wildlife Conservation Network in partnership with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, exists to fuel this coalition, foster collaboration, and deliver rapid impact on the ground with 100% of every dollar deployed directly to the field. The ECF has but one goal: to end the ivory crisis.
